High Suitability Cold Flow Improver

 

ZX-P3-04 is a polymer composition in a hydrocarbon solvent. It is intended for improving the cold flow properties of middle distillates and consists of a pour point depressant (PPD) active polymer dissolved in a higher boiling hydrocarbon solvent. Both the CFPP and pour point of diesel and light heating oils can be considerably reduced.

Using instruction

ZX-P3-04 can be dosed undiluted at gas oil temperatures down to 30℃. At lower temperatures, a dilution with naphtha or kerosene (ratio 1:1 to 1:3) is recommended. The middle distillate should be at least 10℃ above its cloud point at the time of injection of ZX-P3-04 or its diluted product.

According to the characteristics of the particular middle distillate, 25-500 ppm is usually used to achieve the desired CFPP/PP target. Higher dosages up to 1000 ppm may also be used while facing some difficult blending conditions. The dosage rates required are very dependent on the characteristics of the middle distillate to be treated.

 

Storage

A temperature of 10-40 ℃ is recommended for storing the product. In closed containers, ZX-P3-04 may be stored for at least two years and can be extended for extra two years after a successful testing of the physical index. On bringing a tank back into service after prolonged storage at lower temperatures, ZX-P3-04 should be firstly heated and homogenized before further use.

 

Packing

ZX-P3-04 is delivered in a heated road tanker or tank container or 200L steel drums.

 

Safety and handling

Only technical use is intended for ZX-P3-04. Avoid physical contact with body. For protection, put on goggles and gloves. Anything that gets on the skin should be cleaned off with lots of water and soap. If splashed in the eyes, thoroughly rinse with water.

When not in use, keep containers closed. Steer clear of the water. Stay clear from open flames and sparks. Avoid smoking. Empty containers may hold gases that form explosive mixtures with air. For detailed information, refer to the Safety Data Sheet.
